GROUND SERVICES

LifeFlight Fiji also supports road ambulance providers, such as St John Ambulance and the National Fire Authority, with pre-hospital care and support when frontline ambulances experience a response delay to time critical cases.

Currently we provide this service using a Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV) that attends to calls for assistance and stabilizes the casualty and awaits arrival of a transporting ambulance. However, if the patient is unstable, the RRV also has the capability to transport the patient to the nearest medical facility.

The LifeFlight RRV is the fully equipped to manage trauma and medical conditions with onboard AED, patient monitor, oxygen and trauma kit. The RRV also supports the aeromedical rescue flights and SAR missions as a Mobile Coordination Support Unit (MCSU).
